Stop wishing and start doing

I can’t tell you how often I hear the words, “I wish”, followed by a dream or desire of the wishing person's heart. Things like, I wish I could start a business; I wish I could stay home with my children; I wish I could go back to school; I wish I could lose weight.

The problem is, a wish will always remain a wish until you take the first step toward making it come true. But the first step is always the hardest step to take.

Without taking a step toward your wish, nothing is ever going to happen. Instead, you will sink deeper into your comfort zone of life. A day rolls into a week, which rolls into a year..and soon 45 years have gone by and you are still wishing the same things. The only thing that's changed is now you might be thinking that it is too late to go after your wish.

While we can’t do anything about our age or the number of years that have passed, what we can do is dig deeper into the desires of our hearts. To do that start by asking yourself these questions:

  1. What is so important about your wish?
  2. Which of your values does this wish honor?
  3. What is it about your wish that enables you to express more of who you are?
  4. What is one thing you can do now, that is most aligned to the values expressed in that wish?

So, beautiful moms, it’s time to take action. Stop wishing and decide to take one small step today so you can start doing.
